happy birthday....

We celebrated Shawn's birthday yesterday. Had a nice group of friends and family over. Not too many could come over, but we had a nice visit around the dining room table. One of Shawn's friends brought his taco salad/dip stuff. Yum!! :D Anastasia was caught on the dining room table picking cherries out of the bowl and batting them around the room. Darn cat! When Meghan came over, I said she could chase the cats all she wanted!! :D Revenge is sweet. ;) We have a nice chalk drawing on our front sidewalk now - a birthday present from Meghan with assistance from her Mom. A nice time all around.

Shawn & I worked on cleaning up the yard a bit, and the house. Yipes! Talk about a lot of scurrying around. Thankfully, though, our dishes are now caught up and we have a couple clean rooms! I also managed to at least rip out some of the huge weeds from my flowerbeds. Next on my agenda is to whack at the ornamental grape leaves that have infested my back flowerbed again. Darn thing. It starts behind the neighbor's garage, so not much I can do permanently.
